The morning after, I was having coffee with him and we traded lyrics . Agreed. This is likewise one of my favorite songs. I hadn't heard the other Dylan/Cohen version--excellent! I'm so glad you shared it with us. (Isn't YouTube great?)
My favorite line? "Well I saw your flag on the marble arch / And love is not a victory march / It's a cold and it's a broken hallelujah."
