Ridden hard and put away wet

I didn't grow up quite under this, but close.

The Archons at work ...

Are You Popular? One of the best examples of post-World War II social guidance films, with examples of "good" and "bad" girls, proper and improper dating etiquette, courtesy to parents, and an analysis of what makes some people popular and others not. A scream and a sobering document of postwar conformity.

Wow. I mean, just wow. No mention of the "boys" having to put dates down so they don't forget. And, gee, it's oh so hard for a "girl" to know what to do on a date. And what about the boys parking with the girls? Don't they shoulder some of the responsibility? "Repay a boy for entertaining her"???

I was just talking to someone the other day about what happened to women after WWII. WWII opened many doors because the woman got to work outside the home more since men were off at war. But once the war was over, those doors got slammed shut and big locks were put on them.

Thanks for posting this video. It was enlightening, to say the least

Thanks for the video Kimberly, I'm a sucker for these post war pearls.

I love that she "...looks healthy..." as a reason for being a good choice for a date.
