Galloping into the New Year
Happy New Year to all of my I Gallop On readers. Did you know that there were over 425,000 unique visitors to igallopon.com in 2007? And 25% of you actually stick around and read a while.
Thanks very much for that.
Dennis mentioned last night how much fun he thought it would have been to have had one of those ham radio sets. I think he really wanted one as a kid. You know, the whole idea of sitting at your desk in your bedroom in the wee hours of the night and tuning into the rest of the world, having conversations with people in remote places over the crackling static with your headphones on?
That's kind of what my experience as a blogger has been like. I've made some excellent friends in some far flung places. People who I suppose consider me to be one of their blogger friends from an equally far flung place. When I suspect, we are, in many ways, much closer than we think.
From over the internet waves, in a far flung outpost in the Pecos Mountains filled with snow and pinon trees and an occasional chicken-eating bobcat, this is I Gallop On. Wishing you peace for the New Year.
Over and Out.

I hope the coming year brings you peace and joy (and more chickens and less Bobcats). Thanks for sharing your life with me. I enjoy knowing you.
