More Santa mom

So here's the little rider I talked about in my previous post.
It's amazing to me the difference between this sweet little doll and this. Sometimes I wonder what we're teaching our girls, if Bratz dolls are what we give them to play with. Not to mention their creepy Bratz horses. Maybe I'm feeling preachy this morning, but it's difficult enough for kids to be kids today. To me, toys like Bratz send the message to little girls that it's okay to wear too much makeup and try to look like you're 35 when you're only 10 or 11, and that the mall and the food court are the centers of the universe.
Santa mom strikes again.

man, i totally sympathise with this view.
I dont know what its like in America, but in Australia we have 4 and 5 year olds dressing up in strappy shirts, make up and looking like miniature 12 and 13 year olds, it's ridiculous. also, tshirts on young kids with totally inappropriate slogans on them that the poor kids wouldn't have a clue what they mean!any way, when i was a kid i had a whole farm set out on a table in my room complete with barn, paddock, house, people, and all the little gadgets! meanwhile my friends were cherishing bratz dollz, obsessing over the cloths, and teen magazines. any who. thats my rant.
