Happy Thanksgiving

When I was a kid, my parents had a coffee table book of Norman Rockwell paintings. I used to love to look at that.
Funny how life doesn't exactly work out like the Norman Rockwell thing, though. And maybe we'd all be bored to death if that was how it was. But still, I'm thankful today for so many things. For last seven years with a wonderful man. For two healthy, smart, and funny children. For blue heeler dogs and black and white cats. For cottonwood trees and mountains. For the Pecos River. For wood burning stoves. For the blue vault of sky above as I wake up this morning. And for the horses. No matter where I've been or what has happened, they've always been there.
And for the journey and the traveling and the learning and a whole wide world full of things to spark the curiosity and delight the soul. Thank you, God.
Happy Thanksgiving, All!
