Still Lame

I am still lame . I’ve shed the crutches, but my ankle is still very swollen, I can’t wear any of my shoes, let alone riding boots, and I haven’t been to equestrian vaulting practice for ages.
This means that my wild and wooly dream—

the one I am most likely to entertain upon learning that the Punxsutawney Groundhog predicts six more weeks of winter—

where I quit my dreary day job and join the circus, has been shattered into a million tiny pieces.
At least for today.
